This artwork is made from the Holy Sand of Dhanushkodi~ the last road of India. According to the Ramayana, a revered Hindu text, Dhanushkodi is where Lord Rama, along with Lord Lakshman, Lord Hanuman, and their Vanar army, built a bridge to Lanka. This bridge, known as Ram Setu, was created to rescue Goddess Sita from Ravana’s captivity.
Each rock of the Ram Setu was built by writing Ram on them. This painting depicts the Ram setu with rocks built upto the Palace of Ravan in Sri Lanka, depicting a very crucial part of the Ramayana story.
